This presentation addresses the challenge of deterring academic misconduct in online examinations. After an overview of the rapidly growing online proctoring market, 16 currently available deterrence services, traditional and online, will be evaluated on the basis of effectiveness, cost, and usability. The aim of the presentation is to define a quality, budget-conscious solution that places minimum burden on students, provides useful feedback to professors, and upholds OU's academic integrity.
