Discover Local is a new and different instance of the search system at OU Libraries. It allows researchers to search just the libraries’ current holdings, both physical and digital. Discover has many benefits, which is why so many academic libraries, including Harvard University, are now using it. The new Local system accommodates modern search strategies such as keyword, virtual browsing, faceted searching, and automated suggestion that our users have come to expect from modern search engines like Google or Amazon.
